Primland

This was one of our most unique projects.

Every wall, ceiling, door, beam, or fixture in the entire facility is covered with solid walnut, red oak, white oak, reclaimed mountain lumber, or special veneer paneling. The bar, back bar and entire lounge in the bar room is covered floor to ceiling with planked reclaimed solid, wormy chestnut. We purchased and reclaimed the wood from old houses and barns in the eastern states to use specifically in this resort.

While we were removing and cleaning the wood, we found old newspapers from the early 1940s that had been used for insulation in the walls. It was a treat to read World War II battle stats and see prices of goods just like they were printed yesterday.
